We want you to know Dermatology Associates is here for you. Our office is open and seeing patients, and we have expanded our telemedicine practice in order to meet your important needs. We are doing our part to ensure that any patient with a dermatological need can be seen without putting additional stress on primary care offices, urgent care, and emergency rooms.
Following CDC and State of Oregon guidelines, we have made some important changes in response to the current coronavirus situation, both in order to do our part and keep you safe.
- In the days prior to your appointment, we will call you to screen for COVID-19 symptoms or/and risk factors. At that time, we will assess how we can best meet your needs. Some medical issues may be appropriate for telemedicine while others may require an in-person appointment.
- All cosmetic and benign elective procedures will be postponed until a later date.
- Mohs surgeries are still being performed for critical skin cancers.
- We are spacing appointment times to minimize wait and person-to-person contacts. While we pride ourselves on a high standard of sanitation, we have greatly increased the frequency we are sanitizing surfaces such as counters and doorknobs.
All of us at Dermatology Associates recognize the healthcare workers in Portland, and across the country, who are on the frontlines of the coronavirus response. Our clinic has donated our needed medical supplies to hospitals in our region. Remaining safely open allows us to help meet your dermatological needs and reduce the strain on the greater healthcare system.
